A restaurant where you can get locally caught horse mackerel. Helpful staff. Because it is a popular store, people often line up in front of the store. If you order a set menu, you can enjoy fries, sashimi, and namero. There are also temporary holidays, so it's a good idea to check the latest information on google maps.

Wow, this place has the best friend sardines I've ever had. I never knew sardines could get so big! Each piece is massive, very succulent and full of flavor. The side of sashimi also was very good. Doors open at 12 and the restaurant stopped the line forming outside at 12:35. Prepared to arrive early and line up. It's very well worth the wait.

Also appearing on Solitary Gourmet! Delicious fried horse mackerel ♡ This looks like an ordinary restaurant near Kanaya Port. The specialty is the exquisite fried horse mackerel! ! I saw it on Kodoku no Gourmet and was curious about it.The first time I visited was probably three years ago. Since then, I go across Aqua Line every year just to eat this fried horse mackerel, which I miss every fall. People line up both before and after the store opens. Please expect to be in line for over an hour. But it's definitely worth queuing up for! The ramen shop seats around 10 people at the counter and at a small raised tatami table that you can enter from the side of the shop. The menu includes Hamabe set meal with sashimi and fried horse mackerel (2,000 yen) and double-sized fried horse mackerel set meal (1,700 yen). It comes with one-time refill of rice, fish miso soup, cabbage, and small bowls (3 types). Now, fried horse mackerel! Incredibly thick and juicy! ! It’s crispy, fluffy, and super delicious ♡♡♡ I want you to eat it with plenty of tartar sauce! Even with tartar sauce, the juicy taste of fried horse mackerel is not lost at all! ! It's heavy and thick, so it's a bit difficult to eat with disposable chopsticks, but it's so delicious that you can eat it crisply. Also, on this day, the small bowl came with grilled sanga! This was so delicious ♡ I'll go again next year ♡ By the way, we will let you know on X (old Twitter) when we will be temporarily closed, so be sure to check it out! You may be able to use the parking lot across the street, so please ask the staff when you are lining up. If you can't use it, you'll have to park it near the ferry terminal or Nokogiriyama and walk there, but it's OK if you have one representative line up, and the store staff will also give you an estimate of the line up time, so you can get there on time. Please go with plenty of time.

Arrive at 9:30 on Monday (opens from 11:30) There was no one waiting, so I waited in the car. At 10:30, one group started lining up, so I followed. Immediately, a line of about 5 groups formed. Only one representative is allowed to line up, so even if there are few people in line, the number of people actually waiting may be very large. Regarding the location of the parking lot, please note that you cannot park on the gravel area and can only park at the closest location to the sea. The most important thing was fried horse mackerel, but it was by far the most delicious, fluffy and crispy of any fried horse mackerel I've ever eaten! ! ✨ The pickles were delicious and everything was great. I passed by the store the next day, Tuesday, and there was a line. I thought it had nothing to do with weekdays or weekends. (If you can't eat in the first round, the next guidance will be from 12:30 to 13:00.)

Visited after climbing Mt. Nokogiri. There were about 10 people in line and the wait was about an hour. The staff will tell you the approximate waiting time, so please refer to it. I ordered the Hamabe set meal and was impressed by the size and thickness of the fried horse mackerel. Salt is recommended. The soup, pickles, simmered radish, and sashimi were all delicious and we had a very satisfying time. The atmosphere is great with the friendly staff.

Superior aji fry! Large fillets perfectly fried. Sashimi was flavourful and fresh. Served from a tiny kitchen, meals are prepared four at a time in a restaurant with 12 seats. Efficient, but expect a wait to be seated and also for your food. The line starts forming by 11:30. Hamabe opens at noon, closes when the food runs out.

Arrived 3 hours before opening. As expected, I was in the front row. The staff at the store were kind and even though I was early, I was able to get in line without getting any bad looks. I had the Hamabe set meal. The fried horse mackerel is thick and fluffy. It was my first taste. It was worth lining up!
